FAQ-January Post

I’ve been wanting to create this list of FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions, because I know some of you, or maybe none of you, might be wondering on things like why are we on this trip, or how did you plan it? What’s the most beautiful thing you’ve seen so far? What’s the scariest? Do you sometimes fight with each other, considering you’re together 24/7? How do you work remotely?

So I’m going to start with a few basic questions that I think you might be interested in knowing. Either Claudette (me) or Bernard or both of us will comment on the questions. To read all of the FAQs, you can either click on the category or the tag to read all of them.

And if you do have a question for us, let us know in the comments. We’ll add it to our list.

Enjoy.

Why did you start this blog?

  • When we get old ( wait! We’re already old. Older then ) memories get muddy. We can’t remember which state we saw what. Even the days off the week get all mixed together. So this blog is to help us remember the amazing experiences and sights during this trip. And also to share with you.

When did you start this RV trip?

  • We headed out on January 2nd of this year.

How long have you been RVing?

  • We started RVing September, 2005. We had talked about traveling and thought this might be a good alternative to staying in hotels and eating in restaurants all the time. I loved the idea of having my things and bed with me and eating healthier than at many restaurant, not to mention the cost. We went the to Pennsylvania RV show “just to look” and ended up buying our first RV – a 40 foot long 5th wheel. Neither of us had a clue how to drive that thing, but we learned fast.

Who did the planning of the trip?

  • This is totally Bernard’s work. He has spent many months in planning and organizing all the places for us to go and how long at each location. He uses a special program to help with the planning.

Do you have a theme for this trip?

  • Great question and yes we do. The theme for our RV trip is to visit as many National Parks as we can. As we visit the National Parks, we’re discovering that there are National Monuments that are just as amazing. So we’ve expanded some of our traveling to include those.

Be sure to let us know what questions you have for us. We’ll be happy to respond in our next FAQ series.
