Our campground is in the middle of nowhere, so unsurprisingly, there is no Ford dealer nearby. None of the three closest dealers had the part presumed faulty in stock, but one gave me the names of two dealers wo did have it. So off we go on a 50 minute drive to Grandville, in the suburbs of Grand Rapids, MI. The good news is that the new trailer brake controller got installed, and we were out of there by 2PM, and the “trailer disconnected” alarms have stopped. So it was a good ($500) gamble to replace it (the service technician estimated there was a 50/50 chance it would fix the problem, the other 50% being an electrical wiring issue (the technician who could have checked that was fully booked for the day)
