Today we visited the Toledo Museum of Art, which had very good ratings. We were not disappointed. It has quite a nice collection, including paintings from many of the famous impressionists. However, the main attraction for us was the Glass Pavilion, which is a totally separate building entirely devoted to glass. Some items seen were dated as far back as year 1000. But the highlight of that visit was the glass-blowing demonstration, which lasted 50 minutes, and went through the entire process of creating from scratch a beautiful glass vase. It will be cooling off in an annealing oven until early next week. We put our name in to purchase it, but will not know for sure until early next week.
