Leaving Big Bend

This is the first day during our trip where we are backtracking on a road we have traveled in the other direction.  The trip out of the park, and north towards Marathon, TX is our way back out of the park.  We enjoy the desert scenery one last time.  That said, once we take US-90 out of the park, we are still very much in desertic climate, although not as much as in the park.  There is very little traffic on the road  very few homes along the road, almost no service stations, and certainly not one that would work with our fifth wheel in tow.  It’s a good thing that we refilled before leaving the park, even though $4.11 a gallon is the most we paid for fuel since leaving Virginia.  We made it to Seminole Canyon State Park early afternoon.  There is enough to say about that park that it will be a separate blog post
