Today we went to an area that is definitely touristy and repurposes buildings that were used when Fort Worth was a hub for the movement of cattle. This was the first time since COVID started that we actually walked into several stores back-to-back just to browse what’s offered and buy a few souvenirs (we wore our masks of course). Later that night, there was going to be an indoor rodeo, but we didn’t stay for that. Wearing of masks is not mandatory in Texas, and while the rodeo might have been interesting to watch in other times, the risk of being close to unmasked people for an extended period was a non-starter for us.
