Olympic National Park – Hoh Rain Forest

The Challenge with Olympic National Park is that there is a ring road all around the park, with spurs into the park at various locations.

The Hoh Rain forest is on the Pacific side, and was 2 hours away from our campground.  Furthermore, we were warned that it only has a small parking lot, which is usually full by 8AM, and that there can be a one to two hour delay just to get into the park past 09:00AM.  So we left the campground at 05:30, and were parked at 07:45 and grabbed one of only a handful of parking spots remaining.

There are only two short trails to be taken, and we did both.

On the way back, we stopped at Mora Beach and had lunch there
