Montauk,, NY

Today was a big driving day – more than 4 hours of driving, including driving around New York City via the George Washington Bridge.  I chose a park that had high ratings, and those were well deserved, but that park is at the far eastern end of the south branch of Long Island.  Predictably, traffic was heavy in the NYC area, but quickly became lighter as we moved further east on long island.  Once set-up at our campsite, we went to visit the Montauk lighthouse, which was commissioned by none other than George Washington!  We walked all the way to the top of the lighthouse
