Taking the ferry

Today is a first for us…we take a ferry with the RV, to cross from Lewes DE to Cape May, NJ.  It all went very smoothly, and it was a pleasant experience.  The crossing itself takes roughly 90 minutes.  Ferry personnel guide all drivers to the spot, and they do their best to park vehicles very tightly together, to maximize how many can board per trip.

Towards the end of the journey, we are sent back from the passenger deck to the vehicle deck, and of course our GPS recognizes that we are “driving” over water…

We had arranged to have dinner in Cape May with one of Bernard’s colleagues from his days working for Turnberry Solutions at SJI in Hammonton, NJ.  Bernard’s colleague selected the venue and it was a wonderful meal.
