Zion National Park

We had a spectacular drive from the south entrance right up curvy roads and then back out at the east entrance of Zion National Park.  The weather wasn’t nice enough for us to do any hikes, but most times it provided dramatic clouds to enhance our pictures.

There is a part of the park that is only accessible via shuttle bus, but we didn’t get to visit that part, because when we arrived around 10:30 AM, the car parking inside the park was already at capacity, with dozens of additional cars slowly roaming the aisles to try and clinch a spot from someone departing early.  We will have to return for that part.

On our way to the east entrance, we realized that we could drive a loop to return to our campground that would pass right by Pipe Springs National Monument (which incidentally is in Arizona, not Utah).
