More unforeseen events today… we woke up to no AC power, and so Bernard spent some time to diagnose the issue, and the resolution involved driving to go to the Nearest Home Depot to buy a voltmeter (we have two perfectly good ones at home…). Problem solved – our “Energy Management System” clearly did not appreciate the voltage fluctuations at the campground yesterday (we were getting high voltage alarms). But all is back to normal now.
In the afternoon, we headed out to Saguaro National Park.
Three quick fun facts:
- Don’t pronounce the g – locals call them sa-WAH-ro trees
- The National Park is divided in two unconnected sections. One is east of Tucson (Rincon Mountain district), and the other one is west of Tucson (Red Hills district), It is approximately a one hour drive to go from one to the other
- Today it rained a lot, so hiking was out of the question – thankfully, there is a nice 8 mile drive through the park which we could enjoy in the dryness of our vehicle
