All the advance information we had suggested that Jackson Hole was an area where a lot of affluent people live. We visited the downtown area and it certainly has a cowboy-chic vibe.
But before we headed out there, we stopped to visit the Mama Mimi Sculpture by Thomas Dambo. It did not disappoint. This is our second of his sculptures on this trip, the previous one having been in Portland, WA.

Downtown Jackson has more than a dozen galleries. Each one had some huge pieces for sale, a sure sign that some mansion owners need large pieces to hang on their walls. In one of the galleries, we saw two museum-grade paintings, Pisarro and Sisley originals available for sale at “price upon request”. For those with more modest means, there was a Warhol original listed at $100K. We did three food stops, one for ice cream, one for a drink at the “million dollar bar” and finally one for a pizza.
