We arrived in Spokane today, our first stop in Washington State. (state sticker #5 on this trip).
Since we get more options to fill-up when we are not pulling the RV, one of our tasks after we check-in to a campground is to go an refill our tank.
Spokane is just a few miles from the Idaho border. And when we saw fuel prices, our eyes popped. $4.99 a gallon? I have the Gas Buddy app on my phone, and I always check it. In short, we filled up at a station in Idaho, located less than one mile from the Washington state border, for $3.799 a gallon (still our highest price paid on this trip), which is a full $1.20 PER GALLON less than we would have paid near our campground.
I did a bit of research, and apparently, I’ll be paying those higher prices as I travel across the state. Deep dive explanation here.
