When planning a trip, particularly one with reservations made in advance, I include what I label as “buffer days”. I try to have one of those per week of travel. Today was one of those, and we chose to go and do additional hikes in Cuyahoga N.P.
We started off with the Beaver Marsh, where we did see an actual beaver dam (but not the beavers themselves). Its a bit hard to see in the picture, but to the right of the horizontal tree and surrounding mud, there is no water and the elevation drops significantly, so the beavers were effective in creating a dam to control the water level!

Then on to the Everett Covered Bridge (it was nice, but we saw more elaborate covered bridges before)

And finally, the Oak Hill Trail. After that one, we had enough hiking in us for the day, and were headed back to our RV by early afternoon.
