Petrified Forest National Park

This is our first stop in Arizona.

What was special about visiting this National Park, is that we were towing the RV as we drove though the park. That is because there are two entrances to the park.  We arrived from the north entrance, and the campground we were going to was just outside the park at the southern end.  They are well prepared prepared for visitors like us, and provided information as to the two stops we had to avoid because there was no parking or turnaround space for a rig of our length.  So the fact that we had the RV was basically a non-issue.

In any case the park was wonderful to visit, and we did see plenty of petrified logs, as well as hieroglyphs.
