The museum’s formal name is the “International UFO Museum & Research center”. This is clearly a tourist attraction, but we spent a few interesting hours there reading text, listening to audio or watching videos related to various aspects of the UFO controversy. The centerpiece of the museum is about the reported recovery of a crashed UFO as well as the bodies of aliens that had crashed nearby in 1947 (known as “the Roswell incident”)

Claudette’s Two Cents.
This museum had more than I expected. Actually, I was surprised by the amount of research and data that had been done around this “incident” as it’s called. The information included other sightings done in other countries as well as types of sightings, including cattle mutilation and circle crops.
The museum talks about 7 types of sightings:
- Nocturnal light- a light seen at night.
- Daylight disc – a distinct shape seen during the day.
- Radar/Visual – shape seen visually as well as on a radar.
- Close Encounter of the First Kind – object or light is seen within 500 feet or less from the witness.
- Close Encounter of the Second Kind – includes details of the interaction between the UFO and the environment.
- Close Encounter of the Third Kind – occupants of the UFO have been reported but not interaction or communication has been established.
- Close Encounter of the Fourth Kind – a UFO and its occupants have been sighted and the witness has been abducted.
The museum even has a research center where people are invited to read through the documents. They continue to add information about new findings as it becomes available.
