Cold birthday

I spent much of my day reading and responding to birthday text messages throughout the day, and of course, had to include a Starbucks visit to claim my free drink.

Claudette had one ingredient missing for my “traditional” Tiramisu birthday cake, so a store bought cake it was for this year
(no worries, I have a raincheck for Claudette’s Tiramisu cake later during this trip)

Birthday cake!

Our last full day in Miramar Beach has also been the coldest, with temps throughout the day being in the high thirties / low forties. Temperatures in the Florida panhandle are colder than what people think of as being Florida temperatures.  But today was a “cold spell” for the area.  They asked us to disconnect our water hose and leave the faucet at the hookup point dripping to prevent their plumbing from freezing.  They don’t even have heat tape on their plumbing like sites up north do.  In any case, I have a heated hose, so I had water throughout the night, and did not have to turn on the pump and use onboard reserves from my freshwater tank.

Claudette’s Two Cents:

I’m glad that we celebrated Bernard’s Birthday in the RV and in Florida. As I look back at our pictures, it’s been somewhat a “tradition” to celebrate in the RV.
It was a chill type of day, where we went to Starbucks for Bernard’s free drink. I’ll give you one guess as to what he takes as his free drink (comment below and I’ll let you know if you’re right or not.)
And yes, I took another silly photo of the gnomes. It makes for some fun things to talk about and a few of you seem to enjoy their adventures.

Gnomes posing with my special National Park Water Bottle.
