Nice day – got to watch the sunset from the beach

While we have been enjoying our stay in Destin, the weather hadn’t been that great.  But today was a nice one.  They had the yellow flags out on the beach, whereas before there were either double red flags (entering the water is forbidden) or single red flags (entering the water is not recommended – “knee deep is too deep”.)

It was a perfect day to do deferred maintenance on the truck and RV.  Today was our first time this trip that we got to go and watch the sun set over the gulf of Mexico.

Claudette’s 2 Cents:
And because it was the weekend, we did typical weekend things, like going to Starbucks to get our BOGO coffee and doing a bit of shopping for a few paint brushes that I wanted. Did I mention that I brought along my sourdough starter too? I couldn’t leave it behind. So, I made a loaf of bread yesterday, and oh! Was it ever good.

I’ve been good in that I haven’t been working all the time. I’ve been writing in my journal, reading fun books, and painting. As for the gnomes, they’ve been up to no good as well. Check it out.

The sun setting on Destin Beach. Something we never tire of watching.
Our “obligatory” beach photo, as the sun sets.

Keeping with the gnomes and the beach theme.

What are these two up to? I’m worried
