We chose not to redo some of the activities we had previously doner, such as the architecture tour, or a ride on the electric tramway. But we couldn’t resist heading out to the French quarter for a walk down Bourbon Street to see what had changed. It was a weird experience, because on one hand, this is the most people we have seen gathered together in close proximity ever since the COVID pandemic started two years ago, and at the same time, even though this time we are in the lead-up to mardi-gras, the streets were much less crowded than what we remember from our previous visit, approximately 20 years ago. We had planned two full visiting days for New Orleans, but instead decided to head-out only once, and we used our other day to catch-up on work we had to do on the computer.
