Our New Adventure Begins!

Well, we are finally going to live the adventure we’ve been talking about–sort of. You see, Bernard and I have been “fantasizing” about living in our RV for several years now and we’re about to do that, on a smaller scale.

We are in the process of selling most of our things and sell our home in order to live in our 40 foot long 5th wheel. But instead of it being for 5 years, we’ve decided to go for it for 6 to 8 months. Not very long but just enough to be fun (we hope).
With new grandkids in our lives, we didn’t want to miss out on them growing up with having their grandparents close by to spoil them rotten. Now having said that, we will execute our plan of our 5 year trip, just not yet.

In the meantime, what we’ve decided to do was to “downsize” our home and look for something that is in the middle of where Julie, Sebastien and Taylor live (Sorry Steph–you’re sort of out of the loop for the moment).

So I hope that you will join us in our mini adventure as we plan on sharing what it’s like to like in a 40 by 12 foot home on wheels and still work. This should be interesting.

Bernard and I hope you’ll share you insights and comments with us too. We will be posting photos of where we are, our plans for what’s next and so on.

Let the journey begin. :0)

  1. Dear Claudette and Bernard,
May this be an exciting, thrilling and great experience. We’ll love sharing your new life through your blog (a good idea)… You are in our thoughts and our hearts!

    1. AHHH, Louise and Claude. This is but a mini adventure in our bigger adventure of life. We’re so excited about all the things that are coming up. Having a blog will be a great way for us to remember the journey.

    1. Maybe out of the loop but never out of our hearts. We love you very much no matter where you live. Maybe one day, we’ll all be in the loop.

  2. Conngratulations to both of you! We all live so much in fear of new things, the unknown, so it is very refreshing to see people of our age undertake a challenge of this size! So many new experiences for you both. Wishing you a wonderful voyage and stay safe!

  3. Kathy, the only true fear in life is in our heads really. What’s worst is realizing that you’re at the end of your life and you’ve not done what you set out to do. What a waste and shame to try to live to other people’s expectations rather than your dreams.
    I love adventure!!!!
